Two Adventist Health System (AHS) employees and one hospital were recently recognized by Advanced ICU Care, a leading provider of high-acuity telemedicine services, with the 2017 I SEE YOU CARE Award.

The awards recognize organizations and individuals who exemplify the collaborative partnership between bedside care providers and Advanced ICU Care's remote clinical team to provide ICU patients the highest standard of care.

The recipients of the second annual I SEE YOU CARE Award include Kerry Putegnat, RN, BSN, of Florida Hospital Fish Memorial, who was recognized in the clinical program administrators category, and Jorge F. Gonzalez Jirau, MD, MBA, CPE, of Florida Hospital Heartland Medical Center, who was recognized in the doctors category. In addition, Florida Hospital North Pinellas was also recognized with the I SEE YOU CARE Award, making it one of only three hospitals to receive the honor.

Award winners were selected based on nominations from Advanced ICU Care's more than 65 partner hospitals. This year, a total of twelve recipients were recognized across four categories (hospital, administrator, doctor and nurse), distinguishing three hospitals and nine individuals. Each award recipient was recognized in a ceremony and honored with a donation in their name to the foundation associated with their hospital or hospital system.

Currently, 14 Adventist Health System hospitals take part in the telemedicine program, which complements the care provided by hospital physicians with the continuous monitoring of patients by highly trained intensivist physicians and critical care nurses.
