Florida Hospital Wesley Chapel recently held a groundbreaking event for a new off-site emergency room, which will be located on State Road 54, just east of the Suncoast Parkway in Pasco County. Florida Hospital leadership, staff and community dignitaries were in attendance for the special celebration.

The 18,000-square-foot facility is set to be a full-service ER, providing comprehensive emergency care 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The ER will house 24 beds and be staffed with board-certified emergency medicine physicians and highly trained nurses who specialize in emergency care. On-site imaging services including X-ray, ultrasound and CT scan and laboratory services will also be available at the facility.

Florida Hospital Wesley Chapel recently completed a massive expansion of the hospital, and the new full-service ER location will play a part in helping meet the medical needs of the ever-growing Wesley Chapel community.

Construction has officially begun on the new emergency department, which is expected to open to the community in the beginning of 2018 and bring more than 50 highly skilled jobs Pasco County.
