Bright Eyes

A former patient shares a letter with Florida Hospital Waterman's ambulatory surgery team.

I've had several surgeries at Florida Hospital Waterman and each time I've made sure to thank everyone for what they do. The staff's goal is always to make their patients feel comfortable. When the doctors assure me of their experience performing the surgery, I feel confident and know that they are part of a top-rated staff.

Recently, I had basal cell carcinoma in my ear and they removed it perfectly. You can't even tell I had anything done. They've also given me a new lens for my eye during cataract surgery. The results were so good, a couple of weeks later I went in and got the other eye done. I wore glasses for 30 years and now they are no longer needed. It's made such a difference in my life.

When you go in for pre-surgery at Florida Hospital Waterman, the team takes the time to explain everything they are doing. They talk to you like a close friend and they tell you when the surgeon and the anesthesiologist will be in. They assure you that you are in good hands, and you can tell that they are being truthful about it because they have great ability. They are always concerned with your comfort and offer you blankets and ask if there is anything else they can do for you. And, after you wake up from surgery, they continue their fabulous care and make you feel like you are visiting friends. Because of the incredible vision the ambulatory surgery team restored to me, everyone now calls me "Bright Eyes." Truly, I could not be any happier with the service I receive from Florida Hospital Waterman.
