Florida Hospital Wesley Chapel Planning to Build New Emergency Room in Central Pasco County

The 18,000-square-foot, full-service ER will house 24 beds.

Florida Hospital Wesley Chapel has plans to build a new off-site emergency room in central Pasco County. The hospital recently purchased the land, and construction is expected to begin in spring of 2017.

The 18,000-square-foot building will be a full-service ER, providing comprehensive emergency care 24 hours a day, seven days a week, year-round. The ER will house 24 beds and be staffed with board-certified emergency medicine physicians and highly trained nurses who specialize in emergency care. The ER will also have on-site imaging services including X-ray, ultrasound and CT scan and laboratory services available.

Florida Hospital Wesley Chapel recently completed a massive expansion on the hospital and with additional construction planned, the new full-service ER will help further meet the medical needs of the growing Wesley Chapel community.

Florida Hospital Wesley Chapel has earned the Tampa Bay Times Top Work Places status, and the new ER will be bring more than 50 highly skilled jobs to Pasco County.

The new emergency department is expected to open in late 2017 or early 2018.
